The Cambridge Dictionary, which is claimed to be the reference for the normal Alphapuzzles, contains the ‘trousers’ definition, albeit with the comment: Australian informal. (Strangely, the Ultra Alphapuzzles indicate no reference source at all.)

As for locating ‘strides’, it’s simple enough as long as you don’t make a silly mistake.
