Hello. Some tough ones but, on the whole, ok . Certainly after last week!
I got the reasoning on virtually all the clues.
Nearly bath time. It’s been a hot day here so a cool bath will feel good.

Hello NAC. I wonder if we stumbled over the same ones!
How about “ what can be done to uranium giving gold”. Tye answer, I’m pretty sure is “ enrichment “ but I don’t know why
Still, great to hear from you!
steven
Yes, that was one I found tricky! Chambers defines enrich with scientific stuff about increasing isotopes, but I just clung to the 'eg to raise the proportion of uranium' bit! And 'giving gold', is something that enriches, an enrichment. I am a clumsy parser, so long as I get enough I am happy!
Stevenj, I think my shortened version of the definition probably confused rather than helped! If you read the whole Chambers definition, you'll see that Enrichment is definitely(!) something that 'can be done to uranium'. I'm sure very few of us knew that, aware of only the more normal meaning of the word.
Dear NAC
You’re right : I Certainly didn’t know that! Thank you.
No bath last night because of the drought. But a lovely wash down of my whole body instead to save water. She really is a wonder!
steven
Thanks, Stevenj. Last night it was too tricky to hold, read and quote from Chambers, so I just cobbled a little bit together - a not very good little bit. Today's attempt at explaining seems to have been more successful!
I am doing my bit to conserve water, I'm not drinking any (of the natural stuff).
