The case went to court; when it failed Penguin published the book. So I think the answer is Lady Chatterley's Lover.
Gaddafi overthrew the Libyan King Idris in September, 1969, not March. The Small Faces concert was the only remotely interesting music event I can find on that day, though I guess someone (now) famous may have been born then.
