this is a tax fraud case - he has been charged with tax fraud
failing to declare an eye wateringly large trust ( only which he didnt pay 20% tax ) another eye waterinly large amount
which is a crime and may result in a fine of the amount not paid

THEN
there is the issue of his tax - he didnt pay tax and so he has to pay that
AND a penalty which shall not exceed the amount of tax not paid
( pains and penalties)

and the interest thereon

but you really knew that - innit
The crime is personal - but the tax charge will survive his death

I assume they need a guilty verdict to grab the cash and of course as said above innocent until proven guilty. Otherwise where does it stop?
