Bbc Quiz : Week 40
31 Answers
Good evening, all!
It's said that time sees to go faster as one gets older. In that case, given how fast the weeks are flying by for me nowadays, I must be at least 150! (I don't look a day older than 140 though, honestly).
A positive start for me in the main quiz this week, with a score of FIVE out of seven:
https:/ /www.bb c.co.uk /news/w orld-63 158241
Just a bare pass mark for me in the junior quiz though. TWO out of five:https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51318780
It was a bit of a struggle for me in the Timed Teaser too this week, with just FOUR out of ten:
https:/ /www.bb c.co.uk /news/w orld-us -canada -631169 44
So you'll ALL beat me easily this week, won't you?
:)

Thanks, Sam.
I forgot to add a carriage return before the URL, resulting in it getting tangled up with the preceding text. That's what comes of sleeping for much of the afternoon and early evening and then rushing to do the quizzes myself and post the thread! (I usually do them earlier on and then prepare a draft of my post, ready to post at around 8pm). Sorry about that!
Now that Sam has posted the link, Jourdain2, you should be able to surge ahead of me with your total score this week!

Oops, Kwillmott!
At least you're displaying the same level of childishness (or lack of it) as me this week ;-)
Hi, Sam. As always, I'm "as well as can be expected for an oldie", thank you. I hope that you're well too. Well done on being a much bigger kid than me this week ;-)
Good evening, Karamia. Well done on being a perfect kid (and a quality grown-up) this week, even if your performance in the sprint race wasn't exactly great ;-)

>>> Like a Kwarteng Maths test answer sheet this week!
With the way that 'grade inflation' has progressed over the years though, Fatticus, those scores would probably gain you a top grade in GCSE Maths nowadays ;-)
I'm glad that you've seen the link from Sam anyway, Jourdain2. All the best people have an aggregate of 11 this week, in my opinion ;-)
'Oh dear', indeed, Patsy! At least you avoided any zero scores though ;-)
Better luck next week!
Well done with that impressive 7, Campbellking!
Bailey will probably come out of hiding eventually, although he might just be rather like my beloved Moonbeam, who seems determined to stay outside all day and all night (regardless of the weather). Moonbeam has declared the garden to be 'his space' and Bailey might be simply doing the same under your stairs. It's good to know that Puss Puss is enjoying life anyway.

4/10 v 1/10
Well, I'm the exception to beating you easily - where have I been?
Possibly trying to find out who has applied for planning permission for a 51 metre high communications tower on the Preselis, but never fear - Shady's on the job :-)
Hope you and your 3 have had an interesting week,
Shady's latest "like" is the Felix Goody Bag, have you tried that one?
