I was doing so well and now am stuck on the last one. Can anyone give me a clue, please?
Two words sounding the same but have different spellings and different meanings.

Bother/Excavate
I've narrowed it down to Bore or Mine Excavate) but can't get suitable matches for bother. Boor means a rough type and mine doesn't go well.
Thank you

Thank you, The Winner. I thought of mined, but the clue says "Excavate" not "excavated" - past tense. If I don't get any alternative light bulb moments, I'll probably go with that one anyway. Thanks for your reply, all the same.
how annoying, good luck, can't think of another answer for you.
the Mind/Mined seems the most likely answer given all the answers are in alphabetical order.
i can only assume that the quiz is about homophones and not homophobes -:)
