I don’t remember a tougher crosstie . Mummy insisted on my bedtime before I finished. So had to wait until today for the final clues. Still not sure if I have them all right!
Was I alone in struggling?

Didn't enjoy this one much at all. And 44 down has no indication to replace a V with an F to give Aquifer. A bit of a grind.

Stevenj, I too struggled in a few places. I assumed the setter and I were on different wavelengths!
