Border Force taking strike action the day we fly (Manchester) as it was around £450 cheaper when booking than flying from our local airport, Manchester is one of those striking whilst Newcastle is not, so I decided to change flights (RA)for £45 pp each way , there's 4 of us, should be £180, we had already paid £1,891.84 for the Manchester flights, as often happens , the N/C flights have come down although I knew we wouldn't be refunded the difference, the cost of changing has come in at a staggering £853 for 4 of us which we won't pay

Now if only this cloud had a silver lining - do you think with Border Force on strike they'll be nobody to go and fetch the criminals (oops, I mean asylum seekers) from the middle of the channel?

You paid £1891 for Manchester flights saving £450 ( Newastle would have been £2431)
To change your tickets would cost an extra £880 bringing the total to £2741 which means you have to pay an extra £310 pounds to change your tickets.
Divided by 4 that's £77.50. Hope I've done the sums right but look at the figures before you decide to cancel, it would be such a shame.
