To Parse Or Not To Parse (Unless Requested)

I prefer answers (not just to my rare requests, but to all crossword questions) not to be parsed unless requested, because I get entertainment then out of parsing them myself (or trying to).

What do others think ?

Same as you Canary.
I agree with you also Canary- but at the same time I know others would prefer the parsing, and people answering would have to guess whether to or not.

I would suggest that the onus be placed on the asker to indicate whether they want parsing or not, otherwise it is down to the discretion of the answerer. Personally some times I parse and sometimes I don't depending on my mood at the time.
I agree, must say I hate the word parsing
I generally don't fully parse my answers. I'd rather break my answer down by use of hyphens to show how it goes together. If the OP can work with that all the better, but will fully parse if asked.
I've been thanked for parsing far more often than not. I'm not sure I can recall ever seeing "please don't parse, just give the answer".
