I assume that you are still having problems with the Telegraph on-line puzzles site. The clues were as follows:
21d. A public/market square; a town, village or other locality; or, one’s seat in a restaurant, theatre, train etc (5)
25d. A pendant; a pinch; a precipice; a plummet/plunge; or, a pear sweet (4)
28d. A winning cry drawing attention to a pair of matching playing cards or to two similar things generally; a quick bite to eat; or, a ginger biscuit (4)
31d. A measure of 12 inches, originally based on the length of a man’s pes (4)
Excellent work, twix. You’re quite correct, I’m still having problems ….bah, humbug !! Well I spat the dummy and asked for my sub to be refunded, once that happens I’ll do my chewy and tell them what i really think …..should make interesting reading among the asterisks !!
Good morning Twix and Steff, I was just wondering did you know, that if you are joined with a library anywhere in the world you have access to Pressreader, I only discovered I had access to the Telegraph puzzles when all this trouble happened for you Steff, I would never be up at midnight but this morning I seen the Herculis crossword and the shaded clues, looking back I could see the way the links are answered for the Monday. I say this as it might be useful and you not have to pay a subscription. You can have the Pressreader as an App on your phone
