Bbc Quiz : Week 13
26 Answers
Well, it’s both the end of the week and the end of the month today. The weeks seem to go by far too quickly these days but, given the weather that we’ve been having lately (such as torrential rain here in Suffolk today), I’m still glad that we’ve got the month of March out of the way!
As it’s Friday, it’s quiz day. So here goes . . .
After a disastrous start on the main quiz, I picked up a bit towards the end, leaving me with THREE out of seven this week:

Aunty Beeb seems to have got her knickers out of the twist that they were in last week with regard to the junior quiz. So there ought to be some easy points for people to pick up there this week. However I still found it rather tricky and needed some lucky guesses to help me on my way to a score of just THREE out of five:
https:/ /www.bb c.co.uk /newsro und/513 18780
At least I managed to get a reasonable score in the sprint event this week though, with SEVEN out of ten:

So that gives me an aggregate score of 13 in Week 13, which I feel sure will prove to be unlucky for me, as I know that you lot will all beat me very easily this week. Er, you will though, won’t you?

I've never really thought of you as the type of person that one finds behind the bike sheds with those little silver canisters, Tilly2 ;-)
Well done indded on that magnificent seven anyway!
Welcome to the Unlucky Thirteen Club this week, Sandy!

5/7, 3/5,8/10. Have just liberated Magic from his owner’s bedroom where he had managed to shut himself him ( probably why Norman was looking so smug on the sofa) . My two are horrified by the fact that the human has bought a new set of scales to try and get to grips with healthy cat weights….Hope you are not ‘torturing’ yours
Well done with those impressive scores, Campbellking! You're out in the lead at the moment!
I doubt if I could even lift Chequers onto any scales; with his size and weight, I'd probably need a commercial weighbridge at the very least! (He's probably around 9kg, which is about as much as his two siblings added together, but he's a naturally big cat to start with though). I hope that you and your feline friends are all well.

3/7 v 3/7 so far so mediocre
3/5 v 2/5 here we go
7/10 v 3/10 like I said...
13 v 8
So much for planting potatoes this week...what with weather and weeds, it hasn't got done. I think we've been nearly as wet as Suffolk this week, but the saying round here is that potatoes should be planted on Good Friday so hoping for better weather next week. Shady has spent much of the week upstairs on the bed...
Hope you have had a good week :-)

Good evening, Sam. I'm well enough, thank you, apart from a cold that I can't shake off. (Being male, I'm thinking of calling it 'flu' though).
;-)
I hope that you're well too. Thanks for allowing me to squeeze ahead of you, albeit by a single point, this week!
Good evening, Haras2 and Shady. If you've had as much rain as we have, it might be a good idea to forget about planting potatoes altogether and to plant some rice instead ;-)
My lot have spent much of their time sleeping this week too (as, indeed, have I also). Moonbeam has decided that the window ledge is his current favourite spot, Chequers likes to occupy the big armchair in my bedroom, while Tablo likes to keep me company on (or in!) my bed.
[You'll notice that I've skirted around your scores this week. I just thought it probably best to do so]

She's certainly a mini-tiger when it comes to her hunting ability, Haras2! I spent much of the other afternoon trying to ensure that she stayed indoors, as there were a pair of mallards waddling up and down on the grass verge outside my house for ages. If she'd have seen them, there would soon have been one less duck in the world! (Meanwhile, Chequers was already outside simply watching them, as if to say, "If my human would be kind enough to cook them for me, and serve them up in a nice orange sauce, I might well be interested in them. Until then though, I simply can't be bothered!)
