Enigmatic Variations 1595 - Barred Off By Chalicea
21 Answers
Good evening, a nice little novelty of juggling letters from our own Chalicea. Enjoyed a few so far but am stuck on the following for which I would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!
( In one answer in each column the direction and wordplay give a pair of words differing by one letter. The shorter word must be entered in the main grid and the unused letter must be put in the BARRED-OFF area. The wordplay in all the other clues leads to an extra letter that is not required by the answer. These, read in clue order, will tell you what you have done when you have completed the puzzle. )

Good afternoon, NACW, I am approaching the end game though I cannot boast about finding the extra letters in the other clues. But I had some great fun discovering the “pair of words” from the DOWN clues for this novel Chalicea offering. However, I’m missing one and now seek confirmation for those I’ve seen, thank you:
1 COM(B)ING 2 L(E)AP 3 (R) AFTER 4 RILL (E ) 5 ( A ) SHY 6 (M) ODISTS
25 (S) ADDLE 29 (A) WARE 31 (N) ICE 32 (O) PEN

Matakari, your E at your 4 is wrong.
There's only one of these in each column, but you have shown two you've listed two in column six. Ashy and Nice.
You've not given extra letters for columns 5 and 11 (and your ordering seems to have gone a little wonky too). This is all easy enough to fix, honestly.
