Good day, help with the following would be appreciated, thank you!

8d Satellite tone? Not quite familiar low note ( 7, 2 words ) : OE?????
14d Held onions out of the smoke ( 9 ) : Y?????I?H
32d Maybe Bruce Forsyth, in interviews, offered no answers originally ( 5 ) : ?ILNA
15a Rascal returned to punishment from Mister? ( 5 ) : U????
23a Tokyo exec’s into card game, essentially; is he worried about ego? ( 6 ) : E?????
30a Would evidence lead to stolen vehicles? ( 5 ) : I????

( The unclued entry ( 13, 2 words ) has called for a PROTEST. Every clue either generates an extra letter not in the answer or contains a definition with a single-letter misprint. The extra letters and correct letters of misprints together, in order, spell out the focus of the protest and the names of two protesters, whose efforts should be highlighted ( 33 cells total, in two blocks ) in the final grid. Chambers Dictionary ( 2016 ) is recommended. )

32 Fiona (Bruce) first letters of following words give F,I,I,O,N,A
so the I is the superfluous letter
14d anagram of held onions minus the E
I am still doing this crossword myself and have made some mistakes which I am now going through correcting... but I think 8d is Old Moon certainly Old (familiar) + moo (low) + n(ote) parses

It could be "satellite gone, not quite" as an "old moon" is nearly gone, giving a G but I am not sure of this part.
15a Imp (rascal) + ot (to reversed) = punishment given out by a teacher (master). Therefore A is the letter required
I haven't solved 23 or 30 yet!
PS your Norse Goddess is not Freya, but it does begin with an F
Matakari, as you'll have noticed, there are almost 50 extra letters to collect in this one. You will have to work hard. (It took me a while to recover from you asking for almost 30 in an earlier puzzle!) This was great fun and very satisfying.
23a (Your 'e' is wrong) - 'inFo' misprint (ga)M(es) + anag of 'is he' [around] I for 'ego' (it's a Japanese business card).
30 'wouNd' is the misprint.
JJ is right about the moon + the misprinted letter 'Gone'.
...your 'i' in 30a should be 'S', Matakari - 'lead to S(tolen').
I must learn to not insert only half arsed answers - I was totally thrown on others because of it. Anyway all finished now excet one clue

43a Forgetting one's limitations cooled old sheep brains (6) DE_ P _ S
The misprint/surplus letter is a D.

Many thanks
^^parsed (Freudian slip there!)

Many thanks, JJ109 and ProfessorMaisie! From the hints, I deduce MEISHI for 23a, but am still not sure of how to work out 15a ( imp+ot)?
15a An imp is a rascal= IMP
returned "to" = OT
IMP + OT = IMPOT

Imot is a slang term for a punishment usually given out bu a teacher at a public school

Teacher is not Mister - it is MAster, so your letter is an A
43a Delphs are Drains
JJ at 13.53... I'm not sure if you've now got that one sorted? Anyway,I thought I should mention it's 'cooked' (anagram fodder) rather than 'cooled'. Forgetting one's limitations...= ignore certain letters, and the final word (as corrected) is the definition.

Matakari, glad the hints are helping.
...anagram of old sheep without OE (OnE's limitations)
Many thanks Roslyn - my dictionary only had Delphs as an alternative spelling for Delft
mine too ... i found it in Bradfords red dictionary....
Glad you're all finished, jj. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did (and I couldn't help thinking Klazo... would have liked this one!)
Ros, the drains definition is in Chambers (which I thibk JJ doesn't have).
