Fri Develop = Gestate losing £1K (G) = ESTATE + S(mall)
something to do with (G)estates?
Mon, have seen seen this, but seems a bit too contrived or me. :))

LIMITED COMPANY – Double definition, one jocular – S(CO)T, a ST who contains (limits) a CO
In SCOT the Co is in St (saint)
Co is an abbreviation (limited) of company
Yes, well contrived

something to do with A C (a chinese) in Charter?
Are you following me, bobbin? ;0))))))
Just I think theres only us 2 around as focus is on LandF, and I;m not as quick as you. I think we have different suggestions for the character one ... is nt there charter brush technique for cleaning your teeth.
Am out of my depth on these
Only joking, bobbin. :))

Still think it's to do with 'writing' in Chinese.
One brush stroke forms part of a 'character', so it is a 'character part' as is a role in a play.
