Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I was very slow this morning, a whole 35 minutes. (I think I was writing very slowly, I knew it was all going to be over too quickly!)

An unsatisfying puzzle as the theme was too easily given away by the down clues crossing 13. Eye 760 took twice as long yesterday ie 40 minutes.

Unsatisfying I prefer the crosswords that keep me occupied for more than 30 minutes

I’m happy to do an easy puzzle occasionally. My end goal in doing the Speccy in the first place is to try and win a prize (I’ve won the first prize once) so if the road to entering is less rocky one week then I don’t mind. I can get a mental workout elsewhere.

I'm (relatively) happy to do an easier puzzle occasionally - but Doc has set three of the last four Spectator puzzles and they have all been on the ... unchallenging side.
