Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Good evening, started off with high hopes, but then Shark stopped me in some choppy waters! Help with the following would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Preamble: The two unclued ADVERSARIES must be changed to the phrase uttered when one caught sight of the other (creating real-word crossing entries). Single-letter clashes occur in five cells; the letters to be kept spell out who actually spoke these words. Solvers must highlight six cells in a straight line offering (overlapping) four-word confirmation of the sighting. Chambers Dictionary (2016) is recommended.

Many thanks, NACW! I've temporarily put aside Shark and am having a look at Chalicea who is very Matakari-friendly. My grid for this one is almost complete and I'm seeking some help for a few clues on a new thread.

I want 23 to be eights but theres the wrong number of dashes for word after Oxford

Bobbin, Eight is the answer for 23 D - the clue gives (5) and also has an 's' after the ----. The dashes in the printed clue were very small!
