Hi there, NACW, ten days now in Trinidad & Tobago and enduring some temperatures between 29 and 33 degrees. In my busy schedule, I got a chance to look at the Spectator and was pleased to find La Jerezana who reminds me very much of Doc. The theme looks pretty cool, but I am stuck on three clues for which I would appreciate answers. Thanks in advance!

I know it must be stooge, i.e. synonym of 'butt', but the rest of the reasoning escapes me.  So infuriating!

Wrd456, I think it's Stood, put up with, bore... then endless, so Stoo. The 'finally extinguishing cigarette' gives the G and E.
