Okay, must be A Witches' Broom (if they share one) but obviously there's no apostrophe in a crossword grid

^^^ I should have added an apostrophe after the 's'.  (i.e. one broom, which is available for the use of multiple witches).  It's the only way to get 7 letters to fit, instead of 6 (as per Bhg481's answer).
