Listener 4788 Infeasible By Quinapalus
A very enjoyable puzzle to crack - many thanks, Quinapalus.
So many original features in this one. The double/partial wordplay was an interesting idea.
The only criticism I have is the huge scope for ambiguity in the wordplay replacements. I eventually spotted the theme through grid-staring, but when I went back to this part, only around 50% of my initial guesses turned out to be correct.

I don't submit so don't worry about using Quinapalus's own very helpful Word Matcher, for suggesting possible 12 letter words from jumbles with not all the letters known. I'm sure he used his own software in constructing the puzzle.
I would be surprised if many solvers got the play just from letter pairs, but even resolving them after the fact gave an added dimension.
Thanks Quinapalus for a real challenge
Pressure of work meant I had to do this in bitesize chunks, but I've got there in the end. It would have been nice to have had an easy one this week but there we go.
A stonker of a puzzle. Very tough.
I felt that the ambiguity of some of the character replacements took some of the icing off the cake. Nevertheless, a great construction.
Many thanks, Quinapalus.
