Isn't this Thursday?...

Question Author

oh dear.....ive been convinced it's Friday all day today...where did I lose a day? L O L!

Thanks, SD - the worrying thing is that I had to stop and think for a minute before replying!

The week goes by so fast that it feels like it's Friday everyday anyway! I'm always surprised by how fast this part of the week, and its crosswords, come around.

.....and it will probably be a numerical puzzle, if that is to your liking.

That was pretty tough but got there in the end. Thanks for no endgame IOA!

Yes, a dry puzzle, with so many shifting parameters, it was difficult to formulate the right strategy to tackle it. I can't say I enjoyed it immensely - it felt like an exercise in a maths book - but it stretched me in a different direction, and for that I'm grateful - thanks IOA.

I guess there's no way to brute force this one, as there are 12116574790945106558976 possible solutions (I think)

Stumbled across the line with this one. Found a dice that the same arrangement which helped a bit. Had to go back to the starting blocks three times and in the end trusted a little to luck and found a solution that works. Confess I have not the least interest to prove that it is a unique solution. Don't really care. Bit of a bruiser. But in the end managed with a calculator and a piece of paper - and a lucky dice.

I enjoyed this enormously. It seemed like there was insufficient information for a unique solution, but with cold logic and little maths or trial and error, save a few times tables, it came together beautifully. Excellent numerical

I thought this was an excellent Numerical : very little information was given yet it could be solved without brute force, trial and error, spreadsheets, or even dice!

Just logic, a calculator, and pencil and paper.

Thanks IOA.

If that really is your age then I am one year older than you as of last Thursday.
