I’m happy to see that I’m in great company with roslyn251254 and the unclueds. The other four, 4d, 15d, 17d, 20d, were quite straightforward. Newmodamy, you  may have to revisit your placing of letters for the unclueds. And thanks also to NACW!

Thanks Matakari but I'm not doing the crossword and haven't seen the grid- I was just joining in because the first few clues looked within my capabilities and I was intrigued then by Neveracrossword's hint for the unclueds, but although I found appropriate words that fitted I had no idea of available letters apart from those you gave, and my assumption about a theme was incorrect leading to wrong answers.

It'd be best if I left well alone now
