Toast !

It's National Toast Day, I recommend a toast sandwich to celebrate.  One slice of toast between two slices of untoasted bread.

How would you eat your toast?

I won't have a toast sandwich, but I'll put plenty of Marmite on my usual two slices.

With a scrambled egg on top. This is probably sacrilege but I make scrambled egg in the microwave, comes out nice a fluffy.

Crumpets for me! I used to be a crumpet puncher, you know! Tis true. I used to operate the machine that punches holes in them. Elvis Presley used to operate the machine next to me. I swear on a stack of crumpets that this is true! 😄

Nothing to do with bread or toast but I used to have the job of shaving the fuzz off peaches to make nectarines.

barry - that's an eye-opener for me. I always thought they dipped peaches in hair restorer to make them hairy. You live and learn.

Haven't had this for a while, but for quite a period of time, my Sunday breakfast was poached egg & kippers on toast. A great way to begin the day.
