Matakari, EV is another Chalicea puzzle. Here's hoping you fare better with that one!

NaC, this is not a crossword I do, but, in the main, I found these clues quite straightforward. Doesn't seem like a normal Chalicea standard; would you agree?

Thanks, thestath, a lot of the Unclued appeared straightforward. However, three of them still baffle me somewhat and I'm trying to see where I went astray. For example, I have:

Matakari, have you got the theme itself yet? Have you got 12 D? That's the crucial one, and your 16 D should confirm it - show you what you should be completing, how to fill in the bottom line and so on.

Thanks, NACW! I think I've got  it all sorted out now. The 1d confused me a bit as I have " A Place Of Wine" which seems to replace " A Jug of Wine" from the book of verse.

Thanks, Matakari. I don't like your A Place Of Wine- I much prefer my version, confirmed in various sources, as A Flask. If you prefer my answer, you'll need to change 17 A....
