What artist(s) do wish that you COULD have seen but never got round to it?

For me it would be Queen. One of my regrets in life that I never got to see them live.

Yes, Queen, Beatles, and Karen Carpenter.

And I once tried to book Diana Ross but sold out by the time I got through.

Never understood the appeal of the Beatles personally. But each to their own.

Yep I would definately have loved to have seen Queen live.

Talk Talk

Fleetwood Mac before they got old.

BTS when they played Wembley too but I hope to rectify that when they reunite after military service.

Question Author

Loved Fleetwood Mac (still do)

Neil Young for me, in any of his guises - although preferably all of them in the same gig.

pink floyd.

i had tickets to live 8 too, but couldnt go

Queen, Springsteen, Genesis / Phil Collins, The Three Tenors, Eric Clapton and George Michael.

I never liked The Beatles either.

Thing about the Beatles is, I never understood the appeal. Thought their music was mediocre at best. BUT I loved Paul McCartney in Wings, John Lennon as a solo artist, same with George Harrison and Ringo did a great narration for Thomas the Tank Engine 😂

In 1979 I bought 2x tickets for me and my best friend to go to Wembley and see ABBA.

I was 15 and she was 14 and my parents nixxed us going to London unaccompanied.

Last year, some 44 years later, I went down to London to see ABBA Avatar - almost as good as the real thing I think. 😁

It's easy to knock The Beatles but they wrested the Pop Spotlight from the USA who were turning out loads of crap in the late Fifties early Sixties (with two exceptions).

Moody Blues.

Saw Queen twice (once for free!!), but would have loved to have seen Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Genesis when Peter Gabrial was lead vocalist..

Question Author

Ken, im so envious...😁

U2

Elton John. I had tickets but gave them away because Husband wasn't well 😢

saw Queen in December 1973 at the Hammersmith Odeon, part of their "Queen 1" tour - on the night in question they were the support act (for Mott the Hoople). they pretty much played the the same set list as the first tour date (at Golder's Green in the September), which was recorded and broadcast by the BBC later that year. included were Procession, Father To Son, Son And Daughter, See What A Fool I've Been, Ogre Battle and Liar.

Question Author

Liar has to be one of my favourite early Queen songs 😁

Queen and George Michael. I've been lucky enough to seeElton John 3 times and he is absolutely brilliant. The last time was when he collaborated with Billy Joel which I was really looking forward to, but as we were queuing to get in an announcement went out that Billy had a throat infection and could not appear but EJ was or we could get our money back. We went in and EJ did his own songs and all of Billy's as well.
