My day was thwarted by the weather so instead of doing what I intended in the garden, I have done some online shopping, watched the Burghley Horse trials, been and picked some veg from the garden and some dahlias for vases.  Now I have slow cooked pork belly in the oven (it's a Tescos quickie because I could not be bothered to go to the butchers) with apple sauce, roast spuds, carrots, beetroot, garlic, courgettes and aubergines - ALL of the veg was grown by Mr BM.

What are you having/had to eat on this dismal Sunday?

Roast Sirloin of Beef, Roast Potatoes, Honey Glazed Carrots and Leeks.

Roast chicken and all that.

A bacon double cheeseburger, regular fries, mozzarella dippers and a regular cappuccino for me.  (I suspect that you can guess where!).

[BTW: It's definitely not been a 'dismal Sunday' here in Suffolk.  The weather was very pleasant in Ipswich town centre this afternoon, when I went in to view one of the properties which was included in the annual Heritage Open Days event].

Torrential rain. Roads flooded. Toast for tea.

A joint of gammon......and things as yet undecided.

Weather has been abysmal. 🙄

No roasts for one here. Lunch was gorgonzola cheese, some Italian ham, and Korean kimchi. Weird but good

It will be a mushroom omelette later, followed by berries and cream. Oh, and a glass of an Italian red from Puglia.

I could happily eat any of those!  Even better if someone else cooked it for me!!!

Still, not much washing up, pork and spuds in one tray, other veg in another. Apple sauce already done.

Pork belly is a firm favourite of ours, we have it often.

Today we've had a beef casserole with mash, savoy cabbage and red kidney beans
