Some pretty obscure clues today, particularly 13d, but 7d's got me stumped;

Chambers: "Noun, one of two plurals" (7) G?O?T?S. I can only think of grottos (chambers) or growths but can't parse. Any help appreciated.

Grottos (chambers) can also be "grottoes" (in Chambers)

I wasn't aware it's a double plural- like candelabras or threepences

Ah, ok- I was on the wrong track

Thanks Lie-in-King, not today's best clue in my mind!

You're welcome, Beachmaster 🙂

I was tempted to add a '?' as I can't see anything else, but someone may come up with a better explanation!

The only one I was stuck on and went with grottos!

It seems that's the popular opinion, though I admit mine was a guess and it fitted! 😂😂😂😂
