No Sound On Headphones

My husband uses Sony headphones (model MDR-RF895RK) to listen to the telly. He has three pairs using rechargeable batteries and two chargers. He watches a lot of tv so these are frequently rotated.

We had a brief power cut this morning and since then there is no sound coming from any of the headphones. The power lights on all of them are on. The sound on the telly itself is fine. 
Can anyone help, please? I've gone through Sony's trouble shooter.

Since all are failing I'd suspect the TV.

 

Has the power out caused some setting to default to 'off' ?

These are bluetooth so it may have reset the link.

Re-pair the headphones.

Put your headphones into pairing mode.

Go to the settings menu of your TV and look for an option to connect to Bluetooth or use wireless speaker.

Make sure your headphones are visible and ready to connect, and search for the device on your TV.

Select your headphones from the list of connectable devices and pair them with your TV.

Thank you everyone. I will try the Bluetooth thing when husband leaves the room. He's so annoyed with both me and the headphones that I daren't touch anything now.

Some TVs have an option that the sound comes out of its own speakers, the headphones or both. If your TV has reset itself it might have switched to its own speakers only. Have a look through the settings menu.

I have Sony headphones - they are pretty rubbish. Get summat else.

I don't know how Husband did it - I had to leave the room. He's not very technical, but the headphones are now working fine. Somehow. Thanks for all answers.

@13.14...Sony headphones - "pretty rubbish". I don't agree. Sony make a huge range of headphones from really inexpensive to pricey and obviously they vary in quality. For an audiophile with expensive equipment, they might not be good enough. For watching TV, they'll be more than adequate.
