Good evening, all!

Another 'not so brilliant' week for me, with a score of just THREE out of seven in the grown-ups' quiz
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c627vy28nndo

. . . and TWO out of five in the kids' one:

I'm sure that YOU can do a LOT better. Can't you? 😊

2/7 and 2/5 - consistency at last 🤣

Question Author

Thank you, Canary42.

I'm feeling a LOT better now!

😁

Several guesses later... 5/7 & 3/5

Question Author

How is it that your guesses are always better than mine, Lie-in King? 🙄

Well done, anyway!

Good evening, Buen x

Who are these people?

We are dodging the worst of the storm... hope you and yours are staying safe...😊

Question Author

Good evening, Patsy and Haras2.

You two could join Canary42 to create your own little club this week!

We've been very lucky here, Haras2.  It was 'a bit wet and windy' around breakfast-time (but nothing particularly out of the ordinary really) and then the weather quickly settled to become a dry, sunny and breezy day.

The Troublesome Trio have, as always, largely slept through it all anyway!

snap, 3/7,2/5.

Bailey now has his operation date for 3rd February, this week he has suddenly been inspired to chase a ball....Puss Puss cuddled up under the duvet as usual. Hope all is good with you and yours.

Question Author

I've spent all my life looking for 'a perfect match', Campbellking, and now, at last, I've found you! 😁

I hope that Bailey's op will go smoothly and that he'll soon be a fully fit cat.  It's Moonbeam here who best likes snuggling up under the covers on my bed (although he decided to present me with a recenly-deceased bird in the early hours of this morning).

I'm sitting on the edge of my bed (with Moonbeam curled up asleep behind me) to type this because Chequers was in my office chair.  Of course, as soon as I sat down here he decided to come on my knee anyway.  (He's fast asleep now).  Tablo just turned over in her sleep, which wasn't such a good idea as she was perched on top of the back of the big armchair in my bedroom at the time!  (Fortunately, nothing more than her dignity was hurt when she fell off).

Have a good week!

Good Evening, Chris!

My scores are

3/7, 3/5

Enjoyed a lovely trip out to Lincolnshire showground last weekend for a toy and train fair plus flea market. Picked up a few bargains and saw plenty of toys from my childhood, then enjoyed a meal with family to finish off.

No plans at moment for this weekend with this wind, although not anywhere near as bad here as in other places, just not pleasant to be out and about in.

Hoping the kitties are snuggled up in their cosy beds and wishing you all a wonderful week ahead :-)

Evening Chris.

Hope this finds you well  ; ))

Question Author

Well done on just sneaking ahead of me this week, Karamia!

I'm glad that you enjoyed your vsit to the Lincolnshire Showground.  If you like to be reminded of the toys of your childhood, and your travels take you up to Scotland, don't miss the wonderful Museum of Childhood in Edinburgh:
https://www.edinburghmuseums.org.uk/venue/museum-childhood

Here in Suffolk, we've got an auction house that specialises in sales of toys and models, with some items fetching amazing prices!

As I wrote above (at 2048), the weather's not been too bad here really, with Chequers, Moonbeam and Tablo sleeping through most of the storm anyway.

Have a good week!

Question Author

Hi, Sam!

Yet another new member for The Double Two Club, I see!

i still seem to have a pulse, so I can't be doing too badly for an old 'un, I reckon 😁

I hope that you're well too!

You are my perfect partner, Buen (apart from me being allergic to cats, that is!).  Yes, 3/7 and 2/5........there were some very tricky choices I thought.

OH still in hospital, they are dangling release next week, but he had a fall tonight, so fingers firmly crossed.

1 and 2.

If I was looking for mitigating for this poor effort I might say I've been discombobulated by photos of a house in the next street to mine with half its roof ripped off.

Question Author

Welcome to the club, Jourdain2!

I hope that Mr J2 will soon be home - and that it won't be too long before we'll be seeing you together on the dance floor 😊

Usual low result

Question Author

Excuses, excuses, Sandy 🤔

I'm glad that it's not your house, anyway!

Question Author

At least you're company for Sandy, Kwillmott!

Thanks, Buen - but a soft shoe shuffle is more his line - he's a lousy dancer and I have had bruises to prove it!
