Another Alan Bleasdale Drama?
5 Answers
There was a series on BBC1 that Im sure was called The Paras by Alan Bleasdale that followed on from Boys from the Blackstuff in the 80's. The series followed the same format with each episode concentrating on 1 character of a group of Paras who had now returned to civvy street. Brother in Arms was used for the theme music. A helpful tip: towards the end of the series, the blokes staged a robbery. Writing to BBC and searching internet have come up with absolutely nothing. Any ideas anyone - if only to confirm that I do have the name of the series and writer correct?

Anything that may confirm my sanity is fine by me. I do remember the "main" guy, the "leader" being with dark hair and sideburns, an (obviously) very manly version of Mr Rutherford from Frankie Goes to Hollywood and a red-haired guy also, who was a bit of the underdog!, who I am sure is a big name now, Thanks for giving me a starter!
