Ok, so i am a grown-up woman in her 30s, but please, there MUST be others who found the 'under the bed' scene in last night's episode more scary than a very scary thing, indeed...????

And now they're threatening us with Cyber men next week.

I'm a gibbering wreck.

Is this normal?

..yes it is normal purpose, I opened up my newspaper last week for a quick brows at lunchtime and lo and behold a full page pic of the cybermen, I nearly fell off my chair, think I will be watching from behind a cushion next week...awww just like the 70s....
Well purpose that is exactly what the script writers are aiming for. so you and ermintrude prove they are getting it right. Personally I just find it thrilling, exciting, funny and unmissable. In my opinion I think that is one of the best British sci-fi dramas ever. Wasn't that scene with the horse and the mirror amazing.:-D
That being said. I would not like to meet those clockwork robots on a dark night.:-D
do you reckon the youngsters are watching dr who now with the same feelings we had in the 70's/80's? or do you reckon the only people watching it are in their 30's/40's?

My daughter is 14 and is really into it. She records it and watches it two or three times so that she doesn't miss anything.

but does she get scared like we used to do/still do?
i remember hiding behind the telly as a kid !
I never used to watch dr who in the 80's but since they brought it back, i'm really into it. I do how ever think they where slightly creepy / scary for saturday evenings family viewing. It's something about the masks they wore, but i can't wait for the cybermen.
Oh thank goodness I'm not alone, they scared the stuffing out of me!

So I AM normal, after all.....!!!!!

Those clockwork things really were very, very scary in the face dept. It was all I could do to not run upstairs and hide... but there's no way I'd have hidden under the bed.

Thanks for making me feel normal :0)

purpose, I think the reason that they were so scary in the face department was 1. The sinister smile and no eyes just black spaces. And 2. They looked like clowns. Need I say any more?:-D

Daughter says she doesn't get scared.

do you reckon it's because its not as scary, or because kids these days see scary stuff on the news etc and just become inured to it all?
