Using a phone card to call a public phone??
My girlfriend is currently in Paris, France and I wish to call her at a public phone box.
The number on the phone box near where she is staying is: 0155 31 28 74
I am calling from Australia and I know that I need to dial: 0011 33 1 then the number I am trying to connect with.
But do I drop the "0" from the phone box's number? Do I leave it? Is it possible to call public phone boxes?
I tried both leaving the "0" on and taking it off but neither connected me the phone. Instead I kept getting this response: "The network to this destination is currently unavailable please try again later."
Any ideas?
Just to be perfectly clear, the two versions I tried were:
1) 0011 33 1 0155 312 874
and..
2) 0011 33 1 155 312 874
