please help me

can anyone help me? im 26 stone. i need to lose weight. i have pains just walking around the supermarket. i have 2 kids, i want to c them grow up. i need your help. what sort of exersise should i start of with? i'm a skinny bloke trying to get out. please help me. imaneedhelp your help.

The advice to seek some professional help is good. Take one day at a time and never give up, if you truly want to lose weight you can and will, and you will never look back. The best forms of exercise at this point are walking and if you can some swimming. Please see your GP or a Nutritionist or Dietician and get on to a sensible eating and exercise regime with regular monitering. Set yourself small goals and targets, but don't be too hard on yourself. i dont think you can safely excercise untill you have lost a considerable amount of weight, which should be discussed with your gp, the othes areright there, dont forget its not a quickie or a two year diet , its a healthy eating plan for life you need that and some gentle excercise like walking swimming and stuff later you can do more strenuous stuff

Don't exercise yet. You need to gradually and safely lose some weight first. I recommend Slimming World. Men seem to do very well on it, as you can have unlimited food and therefore never be hungry! Honestly- give it a go. There are classes everywhere.

Start by getting a Slimming magazine and read that for inspiration and tips, maybe join one of their clubs, and remember there are no quick fixes, the weight should come off slowly (say, 2lbs a week), and remember how good you will feel and how your kids will appreciate you making the effort. Good luck.
I agree with cliffsweb you do need to lose weight first, then exercise. Slimming clubs are good and but can be expensive, ask your gp to refer you to a dietician and start drinking plenty of water, swimming is great and try and walk a little more, replace any tempting bad foods with fruit as well. Been over weight all my life,you will do better for long term weight loss if you join W/W or slimming world,You get the support and advice of your leader and fellow dieters..Try not to be a diet bore with your family and friends just try to do it without too much fuss,friends will sometimes try to encourage you and sometimes encourage you to cheat so beware..Do this for you and your kids it is achieveable,no mmatter how hopeless it seems right now..do it now.. please..finally, it's not going to be easy ,stick at it.....xx

Hi well you have made the first big step,by admitting you need help,go to see your doctor and get professional help,but even a gentle walk will help,also if you are overeating,cut out the biscuits,crisps etc,it will take a long time to lose a few stone but I think if I were you I would just look forward say to christmas,and aim to be say 23 stone by then, I really do wish you good luck, I lost 2 stone last year just by cutting out biccies and a 1 mile walk every day, good luck,keep us posted as to how you are doing,but please,don't give up,keep thinking of the kids . Ray

i thank you all so much. its weird to find people that dont judge me. i was scared to post on here as i am a regular but needed a diff name as so no one knows who i am. its mad i have a comfort zone i can go from 27 stone 1 week to 25 stone the following week. but can i get below 25 NO!!!!

on xenical and reductil but dont do anything. i'm on a waiting list for gastric bypass surgery. I WILL DO IT. FOR MYSELF AND MY KIDS AND WIFE.

Hello there,
Here are five exercises to start you off, let me know if they're too simple/ difficult :-)
1.Just walk for twenty minutes. Walk for ten minutes then walk back any pace.
2.Stand 2ft away from a wall facing it legs shoulder width apart, put your hands against the wall about shoulder height and do two sets of ten press ups with a minute break in between each set.
3. Step up the bottom step on your stairs and back down both feet up then both feet down two sets of ten.
4.hold approx 1kg weight in each hand and hold them shoulder height. lift each weight in turn straight up then back to shoulder. two sets of ten each side
5. lay on your back knees bent. now touch left hand to right knee then right hand to left knee or as close as you can go. two sets of ten both sides
Do this every other day for a week to start.
Hope this is a helpful, it's a slow start but a start.
