we live on the top floor of a flat (4 sets of stairs) On sat night my flatmate came home to find a hedgehog outside our flat door. A few hours previous another one of my flatmates had a huge row with some of the people living downstairs as we're currently at war with them. My Q is, can a hedgehog come in from the main front door and climb that amount of stairs all the way to the top floor ? cos i reckon he was put there as a prank. Btw, he was lifted out safely and placed in the park across the road.

Surprisingly perhaps, hedgehogs are excellent climbers, and have been seen climbing stairs, fences, and trees, or anything else they can get their sharp little claws into

They do climb, but very unlikely as it'd be followng its nose and unless you have fish-free dog/cat food coated on the stairs, I doubt it...
;-)
Yes they can. I have this morning found a hedgehog in my bedroom, 19 steep steps up! I am living on my own so I know no one has moved him. I was astonished to find him under the bed. :-)
