Disabling ads on web pages (not pop-ups)
2 Answers
Right, I'm going to explain this really badly but here goes.
On certain sites, such as guardian.co.uk, I will click on a link, but then want to return to the previous page. The back button seems to do nothing so I check 'the back drop-down list' (or whatever it's called) and i see that between my current page and the previous page are one or two (but sometimes about six) pages called something like 'http://ads.guardian.co.uk/etc etc'
I have to click past these to get to the page i want. It's not a big deal - it just annoys me that single click of the Back button doesn't work. I have to click several times or use the drop-down list.
I've also noticed that it's only my home computer that does this. The problem doesn't exist on my work PC. Have I got some kind of spyware? I'm clueless about these things.
Is there any way of solving this gripe?? Thanks.

Thought I should pose the question before explaining in detail how to do all of the above, only for it not to work...!?!
If you want to try either of the above methods and don't know how to do them NJOK, let me know..
