I am stumped by Q4 in Five Gold Rings Section:-
If cotton is one and tin is ten, what's paper plus leather plus ivory minus sugar (a) lace (b) crystal (c) steel

Hi starmack I think the answer is (a) lace 13
They are all Wedding Anniversaries.
Paper=2 +leather=3+ivory=14 =19
minus sugar=6 leaves 13 which is lace.Crystal is 15 and steel is 11.Hope this helps.
They're the traditional gift for wedding anniversaries. Cotton for the first year , tin for the tenth, siver wedding etc. I'll let you do the research and the maths
