Herculis is Back

Have just noticed that the GK crossword in today's Telegraph Weekend has reintroduced shaded squares to be linked to the Monday (Herculis) crossword.

It is also of considerable interest to note that today's puzzle has been compiled by Kate Mepham.

Note that Kate Mepham is apparently intending to use longer words for the links, e.g.14a. is 12 letters.
And my first impression is that we may need to give the new regime a few weeks to settle down. Don't tear up crofter's scheme too soon!
