Cheers kettledrum

I think this is from a magazine that I haven't even received yet.

I'll store away your answer until i do !

Thanks kettledrum, I could not find it anywhere.

And yes, eddiebun, it is MLW but I didn't think anyone would know that.

Let me know if you are stuck on any others!
I had given up on doing this tortuous crossword, until I found another MLW solver on here, a couple of weeks ago.

I think we'll both be coming to you ( and kettledrum ) for the answers from now on !

What does MLW stand for? Magazine for Laboratory Workers?
kettledrum --- on Google it looks as if it is Medical Laboratory World magazine. Rather esoteric, and at 83 pounds a year subscription it's not cheap either ! (And that's for only 10 issues a year)
Thanks ulysses - It was only a silly question en passant...I wasn't even thinking of subscribing!

I think I was feeling rather flippant after my marathon with Lector. I absolutely agree with all you've said and I can't think how I got myself sucked into it all. I suppose once I'd started it became a bit of a challenge and it was fun while it lasted, but I don't think I shall do it again.
Hello

Yes its the Medical Laboatory World - and its free to qualifying Bio-Medical Scientists. That's the people who do your blood tests when you go to the GP or go into hospital.

HI There,
Is the bleeding time called an Ivy test?
Joanna
Hi Joanna - yes it is - I still haven't got my mag yet. But I can confirm from a quick bit of Googling that The ivy test is a version of Bleeding Time

I was thinking - I might try to post the whole crossword with all the clues once I get it

With 0 for Light squares and X for dark squares - I've never seen anyone try this. For Example

X000000X00000
X0x0x00x000000

similar to what we had to do when they published the wrong grid !
Good idea, I bet they've never had that done before! I don't know about you but sometimes I've even guessed at answers and got them right. Even the BMS's haven't heard of some of the obscure ones. I've one left to do now............you may be able to help here:
