no idea why we develop them crete, i dont think that anything has to trigger them.
Mine is needles and doctors and Ive always been like the this. I was such a wimp when i had to have all my bloods done when pregnant and will avoid any needle if i can get away with it
Mines pretty standard really crete, flying. It was started in 1989 by a really horrendous flight. I am a little easier after my holiday this year though cause the flight was excellent.
Im not too fond of snakes either but i wouldn't say i have a phobia of them.
Started in australia, but since being back here cant even go past my knees in New brighton, Not even greece or spain, last time I went in the sea was 1990 in Faliraki and I lasted all of a minute !!
A lot of experience in this area, but won't discuss details. Phobias can be highly specific (e.g. loose shirt buttons) or general (e.g. agaraphobia). I believe that in some cases they can be traced back to a specific incident in early life. My mum told me that when I was a baby my sister tried (unsuccessfully lol) to stifle me with a pillow.
I have no idea why. The smell of the them, to touch, everything about them makes me gag. I love banana flavoured things, just so long as they're not made from actual bananas.
I developed a phobia of rats when I had some living in the wall cavities. Got rid of them at the time and have since moved house but I can still mentally hear the scratching noises, think I'm paranoid!
Not too keen on heights either
water i have a phobia of water washing bathing and getting water to drink doesnt bother me but the sea or the swimming pool im petrified of drowning so really drowing is my phobia !!
