ever since i was in grade school i already knew that i wanted to study in a culinary school after graduating high school. I graduated highschool and i passed all my college entrance exams but i still went with what i've been longing for, i went to a culinary school. What i wanted to specialize in is baking and pastry arts. I've finished a year from my school and would be accepting my certificate. If i continue it to another year, i'll be receiving a diploma. My only problem is, studying in that culinary school pays a very large amount of money. Out of luck(sarcastic tone), i learned that i would be learning from a chef that studied in france. I know her, i already learned from her on some classes and we don't learn much from her. The only thing i get from her is recipes!! I don't want to say this about her because she is a very nice person but i just can't help but hesitate. So now i'm lost... i was thinking of going back to college and study advertising management or just keep on getting certificates from other culinary schools... can anyone give me any advice.. i'm lost. I don't know what to do. i thought i already knew but then everything backfired and i feel sucky. I just want to work and apply what i learned and love doing. please help me.
I think you don't live in England (we don't call it grade school), where are you?
Can you get a catering job that would allow you to attend a course part time? Or use your qualifications to earn and gain experience before deciding.
yes. i don't live in england. i'm actually from the philippines. I accidentally found this site a year ago or so and people had been very helpful. my mom says that i'm still too young to be be given a job because employers would want experienced ones. Thanks for helping me but I think i have to finish my diploma even if i have many to lose. I just wish i will gain something from it....
