Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

No. 77. I had this metropolis thing you mentioned, but can't rationalise it with the clue, except by looking in the edges of the page. Is that the way you're rationalising it - or am I missing something in the clue?

Now you're mystifying me with talk of the edges of the pages! Back to first principles: look up none-so-pretty in Chambers (as I obscurely suggested last time) and you'll be given the answer.

I don't have the Chambers they use, which is why I can't look it up. Not to worry - I'll find it eventually.

Nobody should be without a Chambers. It's a good job that I don't know who you are otherwise I'd be moved to buy you one for your birthday, and I've done that before. (On one occasion a Chambers and a Brewer's.) One should always help the deprived.

Ha! What a gentleman!! I have a pretty comprehensive collection of dictionaries including Chambers combined dictionary/encyclopaedia - an enormous tome - but that doesn't appear to include everything the ordinary Chambers includes. I really should get one before the next quiz - it would make life easier!
