Internet shopping legal advice?

I ordered 3 signed copies of the Dave Gorman's Googlewhack book signed by the author from WHSmith online and on Tuesday it arrived through the post with only 2 in the parcel. The invoice sheet clearly had 3 books on there. I phoned WHSmiths and they said wait a few days to see if it has been sent seperately, I have and it hasn't arrived. Before I ring again where do I legally stand? They are not going to be able to get me the third signed book because there is none left, they have charged me for the 3 books and the whole thing has arrizon from a mistake at the warehouse of the guy who packaged my order. Legally can I demand more that just the money back for the book I didn't get because of there mistake? Thanks.

Put simply....No...you have no immediate legal recourse to get anything other than �� of your inital outlay...no retailer has any obligation to sell anything to anyone.....I suppose you could take them to the small claims court, claiming that their negligence in filling your order will now make it harder to get the goods you wanted and you have suffered mental anguish as a result......Perhaps a nice letter complaining about how you have been treated and how disappointed you are not to get your full order might see you recompensed with a gift voucher or similar.
