Criminal records and cautions
I used a bus about 7 months ago with a child travelcard...being a student and short of money. I was given a caution. How will this affect me? Anybody know? I am currently studying to do a law degree and this may affect me though it was a silly childish mistake and I do not want it to deter my future.

I assume you are over 17 and therefore an adult.
You were cautioned which is a police record not a criminal conviction.
Law degree and later solicitor or other legal job will be subject to an enhanced CRB check.
The caution is very current and would therefore show an the disclosure - however the weight it is given by your employer will be a matter for that firm. The circumstances you describe would lead me to believe that it would not adversely effect your future employment but you must to totally honest about it when to apply.
GOOD LUCK
