I have inherited a Crypto Peerless MW1600 microwave without an instruction book. It's displaying an EE1 error. Any ideas what this may mean?

Thanks, I tried that first without any success. I was hoping someone with a manual could answer the question fairly simply.

dont know the answer but did have errors displayed on my old microwave. just switched it off at the plug and leave for some time - also make sure your plate inside microwave is secure and sitting on the right points

Hi Epiphany

Crypto Peerless are a commercial brand and the error codes can be very vague. The problem could be the door switches, magnatron or pcb to name but a few! Crypto Peerless are made by Sharp but are not highly regarded in the commercial world. It might be cheaper to buy a new one what with repair costs being what they are!
