Is it KNOWN or KNOWS?

54a you're right with invitation - it's an anagram of Tito in vain
59a known - ken is Scots for know + n for north

The Presley film is well before my time.

However as 54a is INVITATION as its an anagram of Tito in vain, then 55d can't be LOWA would it then be IOWA?? Would that be right?
