Help needed please with last two and I apologise that they are both lengthy.

He married his cousin by whom he fathered 10 children, several of whom went on to similar success in the same field as himself. Who was he?
Q Which surname, also that of a children's author, is linked(good clue there!) with the names of seven females? Those names are shared by a fictional professor, a wartime "sweetheart", a 1950s/60s comedienne, a character "to the manor born), a Welsh painter,an actress from the film Snow Day and the daughter of an American model and Scottish singer. If it helps you could add two birds(one mythological), a constellation and a Greek hero.
