and today is her 54th birthday

im so sad about this as it is so hurtful on my heartstrings

i will now drink in her honour

Whatever you believe in (religion, humanism, agnostic etc), your sister's spirit will never die - she will live on in your memory and in the memories of other members of your family and friends - you know that for certain !

With time, the hurt will heal and the rough edges of the loss you are feeling will gently smooth out - there may always be a hole there but it will become easier to deal with. xx

Aw MONTCRIEFF49 that's so sad :o( I hope you realise you have a lot of support around you and you will get through this. I don't think anyone ever leaves us, even if they're not here in person, they can be in spirit, in our memories and in our hearts forever. Your sister will be watching over you. I don't think the words by Mary Frye will help, but I really like them as they sum up quite a bit, maybe bring a tiny bit of comfort...
