do you talk to your taxi driver ?

had a great night out , booked a local taxi only a short distance from where i live ,the driver was from london . poor sod i was inquisitve and maybe asked too meany questions , and may have made him feel uncomfortable ,( sorry mate welcome to wales xx .

Depends on the driver...some are friendly and start a conversation..but I only talk if they do.

Last taxi I took was in the Reef after a drinky with leg.

A discussion took place re the quoted price. When I said his price was too high he started talking to leg who wasn't even using the taxi.

After we agreed 15 euros I got in and not a further word was said. I got change from 15 euros too.

We always use the same firm and one driver is really miserable so we tend to rabbit on at him a bit.Its easy when youre drunk.I think they tend to turn off late at night.

Sometimes, if they seem normal. However, the other day on the way to a funeral, my cab driver decided to talk to me, I found him to be weird and irritating, especially when he said hospitals are now micro chipping all new born babies and that CCTV is never used to convict criminals, only to spy on people. Talk about parnoid.

I don't get many taxis anyway, but when and if I do, obviously I'll speak if spoken to - otherwise that's it.

Oh no shanx....I just figure they may not be in the mood to chat.....and they are with people for 8-12 hrs at a time. I bet they get 'talked out'
