Repairing 'pull down' chord on window blind
2 Answers
Oeiginally posted in Home which may have been the wrong place. Can anybody please tell me if it's possible to repair a snapped plastic 'pull down' chord on a window blind. It's broken right at the top a couple of inches away from the cog mechanism around which it rotates. Does the whole blind have to be taken apart to repair it?

You could enquire if those connecters can be bought (pence if so) or maybe fashion one out of a crimp. Or, so long as you dont have crazy high ceilings, you could work out the longest unbroken section and reattach with the original connector, simply running a shorter cord.
you should be able to feed the cord around the shaft, just off the drive and then when youre happy that the connectors are out the way, flick it onto the drive, sorted
