Or is it that people who want help are getting lazier each week, not writing out the clue, how many letters, what letters they've already got......I think they assume we have the saame crosword in front of us and this isn't always the case!

Don't know how many times this has come up before. As you say ,they expect everyone to get the same papers as them. Best thing is what others have done this morning and reply ' how many letters , what's the clue , etc. '
Don't hold your breath for any sudden changes though !

Me too. I am a saddo that sits here waiting to help!! Only buy the DT on Saturday so it is infuriating when people just give the number of the clue. I have suggested to the editor that they put something on the panel above where the question goes. Maybe if enough people do this....... XX

On the other hand, on a Sunday when most of the queries relate to the MOS and are asked over and over and over because people can't be bothered to check down the page, why put everything in all over again? By midday everyone on the site must know for example that 8dn is iliac, it has already been asked and answered so many times so you can answer it again if you wish without having the puzzle in front of you! !

It means before posting use the back button to Sunday 6.30am and then progress forward and ALL the answers will be there.
I think AB is really some sort of club for dimwits and show offs. There's mostly no dividing line.
Anyone that asks something really baffling like "how many public libraries does Russia have?" gets overlooked.

I believe there are 64,500 public libraries in Russia!! Does this make me a show-off? Or maybe a dimwit as I found the answer in Chat magazine
