I'm only 21, started doing the crossword recently, admittedly, theres often weeks where I have to look up a fair few, but anyway i enjoy it. Got them all apart from 3, help appreciated.

If you do not understand a reply that has been given don't hesitate to ask for an explanation. We all started off in a small way and you only learn by experience and the experience of others.
It is also a good idea to check the answers given in the papers for the previous day's puzzle and make sure that you understand the reason for the solution.

Also the Telegraph crossword is often shortened to DTGK then the date :). Do you know about the search pane at the top of the page? If you are looking for a particular clue input some detail and click in the site circle. Bob's your uncle.
Hi ! I don't know if this will help but, by chance, I picked up a copy of my friend's paper, completed the crossword and -Bingo- won a consolation prize. First Time Lucky!
On the other hand, I have been submitting the Sunday Times Crossword for a couple of years now and have never won a thing. The main thing though is to have fun.
